13-Year-Old Boy Killed In Newark Car Crash: Prosecutor

A 13-year-old boy was killed in a car crash in Newark on the evening of Sunday, Feb. 25, authorities said.

The two-crash occurred at 9:41 p.m. at the intersection of Clifton Avenue and Montclair Avenue, Thomas Fennelly, chief assistant prosecutor in the homicide and major crimes unit for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The 13-year-old was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the crash, Fennelly said. The investigation is active and ongoing, Fennelly said.
